Book and visit Finca Valpiedra. This winery holds a spectacular landscape that is divided into three vine-covered hillsides reaching down to the river itself. After years of work, its technical team has divided it into fourteen different plots, with altitudes of between 406 and 427 metres. Finca Valpiedra is located in the heart of La Rioja Alta, between the historic wine-growing towns of Cenicero and Fuenmayor. Cenicero is the municipality of La Rioja Alta with the largest surface area of vineyards and since the Middle Ages it has been practically dedicated to the monoculture of grapevines. In fact, both Cenicero and Fuenmayor still have some of the oldest wine cellars, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, in what were then stately houses made of ashlars and belonging to the nobility.
