This is the ideal visit for those who wish to start in the world of wine, discovering in a
pleasant way one of the ten wineries with more history in the area and that is a
must for all wine lovers.
Bodegas Bilbaínas is located in the mythical Haro Station District (Rioja Alta). The
bodega has the oldest bottling record in La Rioja and has the largest underground
cellar area in the territory (3,400m2). Its buildings from 1859 and 1901 are the
perfect setting to approach the world of Rioja wine.
The visit begins with a tour of the historic part of our winery, where we will visit the
French Winery (1859) and the Calados, continuing the tour through our Barrel
Rooms and the Icon Bodega Santiago Ugarte, where we elaborate the most
exclusive wines of the house.
Then, in our Vineyard Garden, where the grape varieties with which Bodegas
Bilbaínas makes its wines, we will have the opportunity to understand the
importance of the work done in the vineyard and our specific philosophy.
Finally, we will make a tasting of three wines accompanied by cheese and crackers
in one of our unique spaces, such as La Marquesina, the Dining Room or the
Museum.
